For most Malaysian orders — schools, corporate teams, event merchandise — we recommend 280–320 GSM cotton-poly fleece. It's heavy enough to look and feel premium once printed, without becoming impractical for daily wear indoors. Streetwear labels chasing an oversized, boxy drop should ask for 350 GSM or above instead.
Printing methods, matched to hoodie fabric — not just listed
Most hoodie printers in Malaysia list every method they offer without saying which one actually fits a hoodie's fleece surface. Fleece behaves differently from a flat cotton t-shirt, and the wrong pairing shows up after a few washes.

For most of our hoodie orders, we combine two methods on the same piece — an embroidered crest on the chest with a DTF or screen-printed graphic on the back. It reads as a more premium, retail-style finish than one technique alone, and we quote it as a single production run rather than two separate jobs.
Pullover vs zip-up — what changes for your design
Pullover hoodie
One uninterrupted front panel, which matters if your design is a large front-and-centre graphic or an all-over sublimated print. This is the better choice for bold brand statements and streetwear-style drops.
Zip-up hoodie
The front panel is split down the middle, so a full-front design gets interrupted by the zip line. Works better for a small left-chest logo, a back print, or corporate and everyday-wear orders where people layer it over other clothing.
Double-sided and multi-placement printing
Front-only printing is one production pass. A double-sided hoodie (front and back) or a hoodie with an added sleeve print is usually still one production run, but each extra placement adds its own setup and press time, which is reflected in the per-piece quote rather than charged as a flat add-on fee.
If your design needs a front logo, a back graphic, and a sleeve number, tell us all three placements when you request a quote. We price the whole layout together, which usually works out cheaper than ordering each placement as a separate job.
Minimum order, pricing, and turnaround
We manufacture from a bulk minimum of 10 pieces, with single-piece walk-in orders available if you just need a sample or a one-off. Because production happens in-house rather than through a broker, we can mix sizes and a couple of design variations within that same minimum — something most single-method print shops charge a size-run surcharge for.
Price per piece comes down to five factors:
- Printing method (embroidery and multi-colour DTF cost more per piece than a single-colour screen print)
- Number of colours and print placements
- Fabric weight (GSM)
- Size run — kids sizes through plus sizes price differently

What GSM should I choose for a corporate or school hoodie in Malaysia?
For most corporate and school orders, we recommend 280–320 GSM cotton-poly fleece. It holds a printed design well, keeps its shape after repeated washing, and is still comfortable for full-day wear in air-conditioned offices or classrooms. Go lighter (240–280 GSM) for giveaway-style hoodies, or 350 GSM+ if you want a heavier, boxier streetwear silhouette.
Can you print a full-colour design on a black or navy hoodie?
Yes — we use DTF for this. DTF applies a white base layer before the colour layer, which is what lets a full-colour or photo-style design show up clearly on black, navy, or other dark fleece. Screen printing and sublimation both struggle to reproduce full colour on dark fabric without that base layer.
Is there a minimum order for custom hoodies?
Our bulk minimum is 10 pieces, and we also accept single-piece walk-in orders if you need a sample, a one-off gift, or just a small personal order. Because everything is produced in-house, we can mix sizes and even a couple of design variations within that same minimum.
What's the difference between printing on a pullover vs a zip-up hoodie?

Do you print on high-pile or sherpa-lined hoodies?
Embroidery is the method that works on high-pile or sherpa fleece — the raised, textured surface doesn't hold screen-printed ink cleanly, so screen printing and DTF are better suited to standard flat fleece. If your hoodie has a sherpa lining or hood, we'll recommend embroidery for that panel specifically.
How much extra does a double-sided print cost compared to front-only?
A second placement adds setup and press time, so it's priced per placement rather than as a flat add-on — the exact difference depends on your printing method and design size. Tell us all the placements you want (front, back, sleeve) when you request a quote, and we'll price the full layout together, which usually costs less than ordering each placement separately.
Can I order a small batch — just for my family or friend group?
Yes. Our single-piece walk-in option covers exactly this — birthdays, reunions, couple hoodies, or a small friend-group order that doesn't need to hit our 10-piece bulk minimum.
Do you supply the blank hoodies, or do I need to send my own?
We supply the blank hoodies as part of the service — you choose the style, colour, and fabric weight, and we handle sourcing, printing, and quality checks in-house. If you already have blanks from another supplier, let us know and we can quote printing only.
